5 reasons we can’t wait to watch Young Sheldon

Young Sheldon that premiered a special episode on 29th September in India has been one of the most awaited and talked about premieres. With the premier episode finally out, there were so many moments that made us already fall in love with Young Sheldon. Here are our top 5 reasons why we can’t wait to watch Young Sheldon.

1. Iain Armitage is more than just adorable

Viewers loved him in his role on a previous show. Now as young Sheldon Cooper, Iain Armitage is set for bigger things. The child sensation has caught Sheldon's characteristics perfectly: intellectually superior to just about everyone else including his parents and teachers, his no filter personality along with his lack of social skills. Audiences are going to love him in this role.

2. Not your usual coming-of-age story

Because Sheldon is a not just another child but a once-in-a-generation mind capable of advanced mathematics and science, his growing up years is surely not your average coming-of-age story. How will he adjust to his less intellectual classmates and teachers? How will people react to his initial inventions? Who will be his first crush in school? And yes, will he hear him say, "Bazinga!" too? We can't wait to find out as the series progresses.

3. Jim Parsons will be in it

Jim Parsons will not only serve as an Executive Producer for the new series, he’ll also be lending his voice as the narrator for the show. Given that the theme of this show is about a nine-year-old Sheldon and his life in West Texas circa-1989, We can’t wait to find out how Sheldon’s voice will fit into it. In the first episode, the producers have kept Sheldon’s and sarcasm throughout. Hearing Jim’s voice just makes the new show all the more familiar and comforting.

4. Sheldon's mom looks very familiar

That's because actress Zoe Perry playing Mary Cooper is the of Laurie Metcalf, who plays the same role in Big Bang Theory. Although constantly worried about how Sheldon will fare as the youngest high schooler in their community, she remains very supportive of her young gifted son and wants him to grow up as normal as possible.

5. You will fall in love with the Young Sheldon

At just nine years old, Sheldon is going to high school and is gifted young mind. He’s never afraid to march to his own beat. He lets his geek flag fly high and proud, unafraid of whatever other people may say or do to him. He’s not afraid to question authority. This may not endear him to some of the people in his school and around town, but his family knows that this is just one of his lovable quirks. Sheldon is never afraid to speak his mind after all that he’s warm and caring towards his family.
