Ajay Devgn Hits A Century
Back in 1991, Ajay Devgn marked his presence in Bollywood and left many hearts beating faster when he rode with his legs split wide open over two moving motorcycles in his debut movie, Phool Aur Kaante. He broke the image of the stereotypical Bollywood hero with his looks and personality and now, fast forward to almost 30 years and many successful movies under his belly, the actor is coming out with his 100th movie, Tanhaji - The Unsung Hero.
Tanhaji will be a historical drama movie and Ajay will be seen playing the role of fearless Maratha warrior Tanaji Malusare in Chhatrapati Shivaji’s army. He took to social media to introduce his character in the movie with a caption, “mind that was as sharp as a sword.”
The poster of the movie was shared by celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Ritiesh Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi and Abhishek Bachchan.
Shah Rukh Khan shared the first look on Twitter with a sweet message. He said, “Here’s looking forward to another 100 and more films from my friend @ajaydevgn. All the best for this milestone...from striding atop two motorcycles at the same time...you’ve come a long long way....keep riding...and all the best for Tanhaji.”
The proud wife, Kajol also expressed her happiness with the tweet, “30 yrs & 100 films old. From Phool Aur Kante to Zakhm to Golmaal to Shivaay & now finally Tanhaji! Through all the hard won Fridays I’ve seen u go through. All characters lead back to u. Proudly wishing u a very happy 100th film birthday.”
The movie will also see Saif Ali Khan back on the big screen after his successful stint on a web series. Ajay also introduced the first look of his character Uday Bhan and described him as “might that cut deeper than a sword...”
The film is directed by Om Raut and is expected to hit the theatres on January 10 next year.
