Arjun Kapoor To Star In Comali’s Hindi Remake
Ever since Arjun Kapoor stepped into the big bad world of Bollywood with Ishaqzaade in 2012, movie buffs have always looked forward to see him work together with his father - producer Boney Kapoor for a movie. Well, looks like we are going to see the father-son duo together as Arjun will soon work with his father in the remake of Tamil movie, Comali and the film will reportedly go on floor next year.
Talking about the movie, Arjun had reportedly confirmed that he will be working in the remake of the film with his father. The actor also confirmed that the script of the movie is underway and although there are no dates planned yet, the shooting for the movie is likely to start next year.
Boney Kapoor too, in a statement, has confirmed this news. He said, “We are pleased to have acquired remake rights of Comali for all languages in the world. In Hindi remake, Arjun will star.”
He also reveals about his plans to remake the film in other languages as well. In the past, Boney has produced some of the biggest hits in Bollywood like Mr India, Judaai, No Entry and Wanted.
The original movie, Comali starring Jayam Ravi, came out in August this year and was directed by Pradeep Ranganathan. The film became an instant hit due to its theme and made Jayam taste new heights of success.
The movie follows the story of a guy who has woken up from a coma after 16 years and all the ordeals and complications that he thus has to faces while trying to get accustomed to the current era. Arjun will be reprising Jayam Ravi’s role in the Hindi remake of the movie.
Arjun will next be seen in Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat that is going to hit the theatres on December 6.
