Big Winners At 92nd Academy Award

Big Winners At 92nd Academy Award

The biggest film award ceremony in the world (not even exaggerating), the Academy Awards is into its 92nd year and we are here with all the big winners of this big night. This year’s Oscar saw some history-making surprises, the biggest one of them being the winner of the best picture award. The Oscars voters awarded the biggest award of the night, the Best Picture Award to Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite. This made Parasite the first-ever foreign-language film in the ceremony's 92-year history to take the top prize.

The movie also went on to win Best International Feature and Best Original Screenplay. During his acceptance speech, Bong Joon-ho gave shout-outs to the other directing nominees Sam Mendes, Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino and Todd Phillips.

On the not-so-surprising end, Joaquin Phoenix bagged the Best Actor for Quentin Tarantino’s Joker, while Renee Zellweger swept the award for Best Actress for her portrayal of the titular role in Judy.

Brad Pitt also won his first-ever Oscar by receiving this year's Best Supporting Actor for Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Laura Dern also went home with the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for her performance in Marriage Story

War drama 1917 went on to win the Best Cinematography and Best Visual Effects award. Jojo Rabbit won Best Adapted Screenplay and Toy Story 4 won the Best Animated Feature.

This time too, the Academy Awards ceremony went host-less and was instead presented by last year's winners Rami Malek, Olivia Colman, Regina King and Mahershala Ali.

One of the other biggest surprises that emerged in the ceremony was Eminem’s performance on his Oscar-winning song, Lose Yourself.

Lose Yourself from the movie 8 Mile, won the 2003 Academy Award for best original song, but the rapper did not attend that year's ceremony. Well, as they say, it’s better late than never!

A big congratulations to all the winners!
