Deepika Padukone unveiled her wax statue
A high-charged performer Deepika Padukone apart from achieving different awards for her flawless performances in movies is a global superstar as well. After making her Hollywood debut opposite Vin Diesel, she has marked her position outside Bollywood industry also. Bollywood’s favourite currently flew to London and finally unveiled her wax statue at Madame Tussauds. Deepika went live on her social media account and gave her fans a close peek into the event.
For the event, Deepika was accompanied by her parents, Prakash Padukone and Ujjala, her husband Ranveer Singh and in-laws. Her wax statue is donned with a cape lehenga that she wore for IIFA Awards in 2016. Undoubtedly, Deepika’s wax statue is just as mesmerising as her.
During a live session with Facebook, Deepika spoke about her wax statue. "It's an amazing feeling, to be honest. It's fun and exciting. And in a way, I think I feel a lot of gratitude as well when you give back to your fans…" While standing close to her wax figure, Ranveer showed his excitement and said, "Can I take her home?" To this Deepika instantly responded, "Whenever you're here, shooting for 83 and you miss me too much, you can come here."
As fas her work schedule concerned, Deepika will be beginning her upcoming venture, Chappak that is being directed by Meghna Gulzar. The movie features Vikrant Massey in the lead role and it is about the life of an acid-attack survivor, Laxmi Aggarwal.
