Arjun Kapoor With Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt

The trailer of Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon starrer Panipat is out and if the first look is any indication, then the historical period drama movie is going be grand. The film is based on the third battle of Panipat and Arjun Kapoor will be seen portraying the role of Maratha warrior, Sadashiv Rao Bhau. The film also sees Kriti Sanon portraying the role of Parvati Bai, Arjun’s wife, and Sanjay Dutt who will be seen playing the role of menacing Ahmad Shah Abdali.
The trailer is a mix of fearsome battleground action and romance. It opens with the introduction of the characters and shows glimpses of romance between Sadashiv and Parvati. The trailer then shifts to show the face-off between the protagonist and antagonist as Sanjay Dutt’s character, Ahmad Shah Abdali, is seen dead set to defeat Sadashiv, thus ensuring an epic battle.    
This next directorial venture by Ashutosh Gowariker has received many positive reactions from the audience who are surprised to see Arjun and Kriti in a new avatar. Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt and Jahnvi Kapoor also took to social media to give a shout out for the trailer and show their appreciation. 
Sharing the trailer on Twitter, Shah Rukh Khan posted, “My friend @AshGowariker who made one of the best films of my career Swades is out with another offering. #Panipat - a grand & big cinematic experience. Here’s wishing him & his team and the effort put into this my love. Really good my man!!! Show me fast!!”
While Akshay shared how he is looking forward to watch the movie, “Always been a fan of war movies and @AshGowariker aces this genre! #PanipatTrailer @arjunk26 looks fierce, @kritisanon matches his step well and @duttsanjay makes the perfect villain! Kudos to the team..looking forward!”
Ashutosh has previously directed many award-winning movies like Lagaan, Swades Jodhaa Akbar, which was also a historical drama.
