First Look of 'Bhuj: The Pride Of India' is Out
In the 90s, Ajay Devgn established himself as the action hero with deep eyes that millions of girls went gaga over. He later stepped into the comedy genre and the long list of hit movies that followed are enough evidence to prove that this actor can rock every avatar he dons on the silver screen. Now, the first look of Ajay’s upcoming film - Bhuj: The Pride of India is out and it sees him in a brand new avatar.
The first look of the movie shows Ajay playing the role of the India Air Force officer, Sq. Ld. Vijay Karnik. The film is said to revolve around the 1971 Indo-Pak War and Ajay will be seen portraying the role of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, the war hero who has served as the Wing Commander in the IAF. Sq. Ld. Vijay Karnik was in charge of the Bhuj airbase during the war and he was accompanied by 50 air force officers and 60 defence brigade at the airbase during that time. The movie is reportedly based on the life of the war hero and will show his entire journey throughout that hard time.
The film is being helmed by Abhishek Dudhaiya. He shared the first look of the film on Twitter and wrote, “It’s a privilege to present @ajaydevgn sir’s first look as Sq. Ld. Vijay Karnik from my upcoming directorial film #BhujThePrideOfIndia . #14Aug2020.”
While talking about the movie, Vijay Karnik has previously mentioned that he could only see Ajay Devgn playing his character and he is glad that the actor is on board.
The film also features Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and singer-actor Ammy Virk. Bhuj - The Pride Of India will also mark the Bollywood debut of South Indian actor Pranitha Subhash. The film will hit the silver screen on August 14, 2020.
