Godzilla vs. Kong To Hit The Theaters In November 2020
What happens when two of the greatest monsters known to the world fight against each other? Well, we get a cinematic experience that we must not miss out on! The most anticipated MonsterVerse movie - Godzilla vs Kong is now going to hit the theatres on November 20, 2020. The film was earlier slated to be released on March 13, 2020. The movie brings together two of the most popular monsters in cinema, Godzilla and King Kong and will be written by Terry Rossio and directed by Adam Wingard.
MonsterVerse is the cinematic universe that paved its way into the hearts of the movie-goers with 2014’s Godzilla and was created by Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros.
Godzilla vs. Kong is the fourth film in Legendary and Warner Bros. MonsterVerse. The first movie, Godzilla was followed by Kong: Skull Island that came out in 2017 and Godzilla: King of the Monsters that came out this year.
According to various reports, the delay in the release of the movie could be because of the poor box office performance of the last movie, Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The movie generated $385.9 million at the worldwide box office, way less than what was expected of it.
The new film stars Julian Dennison, Millie Bobby Brown, Brian Tyree Henry, Alexander Skarsgård and Demian Bichir.
Talking about his character in the movie, Alexander Skarsgård said, “What I liked about it [his character] is that he’s a reluctant hero. He’s a geologist, who’s not tough, or brave, or an ex-Marine, or a cool, strong leader. He’s nervous and uncomfortable, and he’s thrown into this crazy world that he’s not equipped to deal with. There was an opportunity for some levity and some fun moments in that. Having a protagonist who’s not an action hero, in an action movie, was quite fun. The stakes are higher because you know that he’s not equipped to deal with these situations.”
The two iconic characters have once shared the screen in 1962 with Toho's crossover movie King Kong vs. Godzilla.
