The Hunt Is Over!

The Hunt Is Over!

The wait for the much-awaited American action horror-thriller, The Hunt is over! The highly anticipated film has finally got a release date - March 13th 2020. If you have been keeping up, then you’d know that the film was originally scheduled to be released in September last year, but according to sources, following the Dayton and El Paso mass shootings in early August 2019, Universal Pictures decided to shelve the release of the film.

Another reason to shelve the release was stated to be US President Donald Trump’s tweet just before the release. In the tweet, POTUS said that the film is meant to “inflame and cause chaos.” Now, who can disregard the President’s word, huh?

Nevertheless, as they say, all's well that ends well. And we certainly see an end to the suspense on the release date of this film now. So, let’s just save the date and keep our hopes high, as the official synopsis and the trailer seem very promising. According to the official synopsis of the film, The Hunt revolves around twelve strangers who wake up in a clearing and they don't know where they are, or how they got there. It is further revealed that they have been chosen for a very specific purpose and we are very intrigued and keen to watch it on the very first day.

The action-thriller stars Betty Gilpin, Ike Barinholtz, Emma Roberts, Hilary Swank and many more such faces, we would love to watch on-screen.

The project is being helmed by Craig Zobel and written by Nick Cuse and Damon Lindelof and is based on the 1924 short story, The Most Dangerous Game, by Richard Connell. The book revolves around the idea, why men are the most interesting game to hunt, doesn’t it add more to the list of reasons to watch this film?
