Maleficent: Mistress of Evil gets new release date
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil featuring Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie, will hit the silver screens in the month of October this year. The announcement was made on recently. The movie is a fantasy adventure, which was previously been scheduled to be released on May 29, 2020. However, now, the film will release on October 18, 2019. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is an upcoming American venture. It is a fantasy adventure, which is produced by Walt Disney Pictures, helmed by Jochim Ronning, and written by Linda Woolverton, Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noah Harpster. Furthermore, the movie is a sequel to the 2014 film Maleficent.
After the announcement of the new date, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil will release against an untitled film from horror-maker Blumhouse. This upcoming venture will also have to compete with The Adams Family, the adaption of Donna Tartt’s The Goldfinch, Zombieland 2 and Gemini Man, a futuristic thriller that unites Will Smith and Ang Lee. Further, if Maleficent: Mistress of Evil was to release on its original date, i.e., May 29, 2020, then it would have been facing off against the theatregoers favourite Fast & Furious 9 and The Spongebob Movie.
In the movie, Angelina will be surprising the audience as the villainous enchantress Maleficent. Further, the movie also stars other actors as well. Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville are a part of the movie. All these actors were a part of the first instalment of the movie. The franchise also has some newcomers as well, which include Michelle Pfeiffer, Ed Skrein, Harris Dickinson and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
