Nawazuddin Siddiqui Honoured with Lesley Ho Asian Film Talent Award
Nawazuddin Siddiqui is an absolutely amazing actor - no news there! Ever since he hit commercial success with big movies like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kick, Housefull 4, Raaes and Raman Raghav 2.0, his talent has come to the spotlight and been appreciated by Hindi film audience. And now, adding another feather to his illustrious cap, Nawazuddin has been honoured with the Lesley Ho Asian Film Talent Award at the Singapore International Film Festival for his fantastic performance in Netflix's original series Sacred Games. The Netflix's original series Sacred Games was recently nominated for an Emmy nomination too, marking the international presence of the hit series that also stars Saif Ali Khan.
He attended the festival with director Anurag Kashyap, with whom he has worked on several projects. He was presented the award at the ceremony by Charles Ho, a business tycoon from Beijing.
Nawazuddin took to twitter to post pictures with the award and share the news. He wrote, “It’s an absolute honour to be felicitated by the prestigious #LesleyHoAsianFilmTalentAward at 'Singapore International Film Festival' (@SGIFF) for contributing towards International cinema with #SacredGames by the charming Mr. Charles Ho #Gratitude #Humbled”
The 30th edition of Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) started on November 21 and is set to end on December 8.
The actor will be holding a dialogue at the festival too, where he will talk about his journey in the world of cinema so far.
Nawazuddin was also awarded with the prestigious Golden Dragon Award at the Cardiff International Film Festival for his excellence in cinema in the International market a few weeks back.
He last appeared on big screen with Athiya Shetty a wedding comedy, Motichoor Chaknachoor.
His also wrapped by shooting for his next movie, Bole Chudiyan that is being directed by his brother Shamas Nawab Siddiqui.
