Arbaaz Khan to star in 'Sridevi Bungalow'
Teasers for Prasanth Mambully’s, Sridevi’s Bungalow are already out. The suspense thriller stares Priya Prakash Varrier, the “wink girl”, who created a nationwide rage with her charm in the viral video of the song ‘Manikya Malaraya Poovi’ from her movie Oru Adar Love. The 19-year-old is all set for making her debut in Bollywood. She is very excited for the release as she aspires to create her presence in the B-town. The bigger news update is that Arbaaz Khan will be seen opposite to Priya. The popular hunk has not only created his fan following as an actor but also as a pomp director for the films like 'Dabangg.' He would be portraying a Bollywood superstar in the film. He has made his digital debut in the web series, ‘Poison.’ The director adds that his role holds prime importance in the film. His character’s name will also be Arbaaz to build a connection between the reel and the real.
The trailer dragged in controversies as it showed the protagonist dying in the bathtub the same way how the veteran actor Sridevi accidentally drowned in a bathtub in Dubai’s Emirates towers hotel last year. Her unexpected demise was a shock to the whole country. A legal notice was issued by late Sridevi’s husband, Boney Kapoor asserting to use Sridevi’s name in the title. Also, there are quite a number of scenes that are parallel to her life.
Discarding the controversies airing around the movie, the Malayalam filmmaker, however, claimed that the name ‘Sridevi’ is quite common and the storyline is a complete fiction and has no connection with the late Bollywood actor. He added that he had been working on the script from two years and the major chunk of the movie has already been shot at London. Kangana Ranaut was approached prior to Priya for the lead but she denied due to her packed schedule. The movie will hit the theatre in December this year.
