The Tashkent Files trailer out

The trailer of The Tashkent Files is out and by its vibes, the film is an endeavour to disentangle the riddle encompassing the passing of previous Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shashtri.

It's raining political dramatisations in Bollywood and Vivek Agnihotri has joined the race too by helming a political spine-chiller that will attempt and throw some light on what happened post-Shashtri consented to the Tashkent arrangement which formally finished the Indo-Pak war of 1965. The previous PM was accounted for to have died in Tashkent a day after signing the Tashkent agreement.

The synopsis of the movie reads as, “The man you know… The mystery you don’t! Get ready to witness the truth behind the biggest cover-up of Indian politics! #LalBahadurShastri.”

In the trailer, different characters of the film can be seen questioning the reason for Lal Bahadur Shashtri's demise by transparently voicing their questions about the occurrence. While a few characters like that of Pallavi Joshi trust that Shashtri passed on of a heart attack, others like Pankaj Tripathi and Shweta Basu Prasad are not very beyond any doubt.

Aside from Pallavi Joshi, Shweta Basu Prasad and Pankaj Tripathi, The Tashkent Files likewise includes Naseeruddin Shah, Mithun Chakraborty, Mandira Bedi and Vinay Pathak in noteworthy roles. This upcoming venture has been helmed by Vivek Agnihotri, who has recently directed movies like Chocolate and Hate Story.

The Tashkent Files is scheduled to be released on April 12 this year.
