Trailer of Top Gun: Maverick is out
Tom Cruise left quite a mark in history and the hearts of people when he hopped off the plane and walked across the runway wearing the US Naval pilot ensemble with the legendary aviator glasses in the classic movie - Top Gun in 1986. It won’t be an exaggeration to say that Top Gun was one of the best movies of Tom’s illustrious career that is filled with many action movies. People have been anticipating a sequel or a reboot of this movie for almost 35 years now. So finally when the news of Top Gun 2 came out, many Tom Cruise fans rejoiced the return of their beloved pilot Maverick.
Now, the new trailer of the sequel, Top Gun: Maverick is out and it will give all you Top Gun fans a taste of the original movie. The high flying plane action, a dose of drama and Tom Cruise sitting behind the wheels of the fighter plane will make sure that you don’t miss out on the fun of what you witnessed in the first film.
Although the trailer doesn’t reveal much about the plot of the movie except the fact that Pete "Maverick" Mitchell is asked to come back to train a younger batch of pilots. The second movie will also see Miles Teller playing the role of the son of Maverick’s late navigator Goose.
Besides Tom and Miles, the movie will also feature Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Ed Helms and Val Kilmer.
Tom Cruise has expressed his desire to make a sequel of this 80s classic movie ever since the director of the original movie, Tony Scott passed away in 2012. Top Gun 2 will be directed by Joseph Kosinski, who also worked with Tom Cruise in Oblivion. The film will hit the theatres on June 26, 2020, so mark your calendars.
