Decoding The Miss World: Manushi Chhillar
Manushi Chhillar is the stunning beauty who is our new Miss India World. She is tall, intelligent and beautiful. Even before we started talking to her, her breathtaking smile and elegance took our breath away. And when we finally began speaking to her, we realized that this beauty is truly socially conscious and prefers books to television, and wants to change the world for better. That is before we got lost in her eyes and charming personality, much to the dismay of her entourage.
FHM: Tell us more about yourself. Where did you grow up? Was your childhood fun?
Manushi: We were in Bangalore initially. We moved to Delhi when I was 7. So I’ve been completely influenced by Delhi. My childhood was great! I was always involved in different activities and loved performing on stage. My parents are very adventurous. They
would take me horse riding, mountaineering
What’s the most embarrassing moment you remember from your teenage?
The most embarrassing moment I can recall was during the auditions. We were given Fashion at Big Bazaar dresses and the top 6 could keep them. But mine hadn’t been checked off. When I walked out, the alarms began to buzz. The next thing I know, someone was giving me a look and saying “Ma’am you need to return the dress”.
Are you single or seeing someone?
I am single.
What is the best place for a guy to approach you?
Anywhere I don’t expect him to.
So, what’s your idea of a fun date?
Somewhere with a nice place to eat, talk and play a good game of paintball.
Would you get drunk on a beach or read a book to take a break from work?
Read a book.
What do you like to read?
I like reading anything that offers me a glimpse into another person’s imagination.
What is the naughtiest thing you have read?
My friend has a book of pranks. It gave me some of the naughtiest ideas.
Are you a fan of pickup lines?
They’re silly but funny.
So, what’s the silliest pick up a guy has used to win your attention?
Aren’t you tired, because you’ve been running in my mind all day?
Do you have a secret tattoo? If not, do you wish to get inked? What would you get?
No, I don’t, don’t want to get one either.
What’s your favourite cuisine? What place would you recommend for it?
I am actually very fond of Indian sweets. I never miss a chance to eat Mysore Pak whenever I visit Bangalore.
What quirky habit do you have?
Not one that I know of.
We find your perfect but you had to change two things about yourself, what would they be?
I don’t want to change anything. Maybe my dark circles or the amount of bedtime I usually want.
If you could jump into a pool of something, what would it be?
I’ve always wanted to swim in Uncle Scrooge’s money bin. But I feel I don’t want to jump into anything except for water. That would be painful.
What are the 5 things that attract you in men?
Umm… He has to have a great sense of humour. Should exhibit chivalry, witticism, dedication and should wear the right perfume.
What do you think you look sexiest in?
Were you always this hot? You must’ve been the centre of attraction during your school day.
Don’t know about that but I mostly am the centre of attention.
You have a fab body. What do you do to keep yourself fit?
I have a moderate exercise routine and I keep my diet healthy.
When was the first time you ever kissed a guy? How was the feeling?
I have never kissed a guy.
Are you a shopaholic? What’s your favourite shopping destination? What’s that thing you can’t resist buying?
I love shopping. South Delhi according to me is the best place to shop for women. And I just can’t resist the shoes.
Any plans of going to your favourite holiday spot anytime soon? Where would it be? We would try not to follow.
I was planning to visit Havelock Island end of this year. Don’t follow me.
What do you like wearing to bed?
Just shorts (wink).
How do you like to spend your day when not working?
I love to read or paint. I do that.
According to you, what’s the most striking feature in your body? For us, it’s head to toe and everything in between.
