Did your career change you in any way?

It has changed me for the better. It has taught me to be more balanced and humble. I’m a happy-go-lucky person so my head is always in the right place. I don’t get desperate for work or anything in life. I believe in the motto: what is yours, you will get. I do believe in hard work, in destiny and letting the universe do its job.

How was your journey from being a model to an actor?

My journey has been interesting. I  have admired actors on the silver screen, imitated my favourite actresses especiallyy Rekha and Madhuri Dixit Nene. And yet acting was never my first choice. As a model, I had a lot of time on hand so, I took an acting course. I feel I was lucky that I got my 1st break without any struggle. My first Punjabi film was Daddy Cool Munde Fool. I made my Bollywood debut with Hate Story 4. I feel blessed to receive appreciation. I am excited about working in the Hindi film industry.

How do you balance your personal and professional life?

I feel it doesn’t matter how busy you are in your daily life making a name, you can always make time for yourself. With little bit effort and being organised, I manage to take out time for my family. I worship my body and keep fit by practising yoga and medidation early in the morning. When I am in Mumbai, I never miss my gym and swimming sessions.
