Sparkling Diva: Hina Khan
What are you up to these days?
Trying to wreck havoc on television as I turn negative for the first time as Komolika in ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’. Besides that, lots of work-related travel and a few ramp shows and events are keeping me busy.
How did Bigg Boss impact your career?
Bigg Boss gave people an insight into the real Hina that is I don’t shy away from voicing my opinion about what is right and wrong. I feel Bigg Boss also showed everyone how strong I am as a person and how strong my roots are. Being on national television every day as the original Hina Khan also gave me the opportunity to dress the way I wished to, for which I got tremendously positive feedback and many style awards.
How do people change in the Bigg Boss house? After the show, is everything which is said and done in the house forgotten, or do people carry grudges?
I believe the house brings out the real you, in some way or the other. Having said that, it is also a well-edited show, so you cannot trust each and everything that you see. Some people may carry grudges while others don’t. I believe in forgiving, forgetting and moving on. I did not speak ill of any contestant after the show and had no hard feelings for anyone. May they rise and shine, but as far as staying connected and being friends after the show is concerned, that is an extremely personal preference.
During your stay in the house, were you ever frightened, or rather frustrated as to what was happening around you all the time?
There is a storm of emotions that takes over you at different times. It is not easy to be locked up with strangers and that too away from one’s family and loved ones. However, it also makes you stronger. With each emotion that takes over, one needs to let it out and then emerge stronger than before.
Did you make any friends on the show with whom you have been in touch, once the show ended?
Yes of course. I am in touch with my friends, Priyank (Sharma), Sapna (Choudhary), and Luv (Tyagi)
What according to you is an ideal career and why?
One that challenges you, satisfies your inner artist and keeps you growing. Who wants a mundane life where they dread going to work? I am not a morning person unless I am waking up to a day full of the good and challenging day at work, which should also be fun and something worth looking forward to.
What is your idea of an ideal romantic date?
A romantic dinner in an unexplored country where we can explore new cuisines, new culture, and a completely different landscape. But I guess nothing beats the pleasure when your partner has cooked for you himself. If he has baked a cake, even better. If there are only the two of you at the place, well that’s home run baby. And yes I have been to such a date.
How will you dress seductively or naughtily for a date?
A little bit of both, a tease either way is nice. Nothing is more seductive than your eyes, you just got to know when to blink and when to wink.
What is your favourite hangout spot for a romantic date?
I love some of the small restaurants in Europe with cobblestone pathways where one can enjoy the lovely weather, some delicious wine, and good food over interesting conversations. But most importantly a place where he’s sitting within my arms reach and right in front of me because after a while I guess it’s better to blur the background if you know what I mean!
What would your dating app bio read?
Expect the unexpected. Or Mission Highly Impossible!
What is your ultimate fantasy?
To be with my partner and have a moment of togetherness in all the wonders of the world. I would love to add spacewalk into the list.
What do you find sexy in a man?
His intellect because that’s what makes or breaks his personality. If he’s intelligent, I’m sure he will know how to carry himself well.
What according to you is one romantic getaway destination that one simply cannot miss out on?
The top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris is just epic, especially at night. There is nothing more romantic than it. The height gives you perspective, the weather gives you comfort, the beautiful view gives you appreciation and for anything else, well you got to have a partner!
It is said that the key to a man’s heart is through his tummy. What would you cook to impress a man?
Tummy tunnel is for mummies. I will cook up interesting stories to make him glued to me and only me. After all, I don’t think it’s fair for me to lose to a plate of food.
What was your first experience watching porn?
Let’s just say it was an eye-opener.
What has been the weirdest thing that a fan has ever done for you?
Once a fan followed me and then requested for a picture and also made his whole family click pictures with me and while he was going I heard him tell his family that I was Katrina Kaif.
One secret about women that men should know?
Women are full of secrets and mysteries and it won’t be fair to disclose the important ones. I think most men think that they are the ones who are scanning the “chick in the room” but in reality, it’s the other way round, nothing misses these binoculars.
